VIDEO PRODUCTION & CONSULTATION
Harris Cohen Bio
Harris’ first employer after UCLA film school was CBS News. The editing of Viet Nam war footage for the Evening News was one of his primary responsibilities.
He produced his first tape documentary in 1973 with the earliest available field production equipment. In 1977 he joined the staff of Evening Magazine. For the next ten years he made hundreds of magazine format pieces, commercials and promos for KPiX and Group W - Westinghouse Broadcasting.
Among a multitude of later projects, for broadcast, cable and corporate clients, Harris has been involved in advertising campaigns for AT&T and TV Guide, modules for the Academy Awards telecasts and an original video short "No Plates".
In 1983 he founded Magnetic Image Video, a video field production equipment rental and crew services facility. For the next 17 years he divided his time between field production and growing M. I. In January of 2000 he turned ownership of Magnetic Image over to his former partner, is now semi-retired, and accepts free-lance and pro-bono production assignments.
